Claude Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 were given the same prompt to make a Blender animation of a mech assembling itself, powering up and walking, all in code with no assets. Opus took 47 minutes and Sonnet 45.

Make a cinematic animation of a giant mech robot building itself, entirely from scratch, in Blender. On a dark, futuristic hangar floor, scattered parts fly in from all sides and lock together into a towering humanoid mech: feet, legs, hips, torso, arms, armour plates and finally the head. The mech powers up: its eyes and chest core light up, glowing lines race across its armour and steam vents hiss. Then it takes a few heavy, confident steps forward and finishes in a hero pose.
